Thinking Out Loud! Randomly randomness

Hey guys! Happy Thursday and happy spill your random thoughts whizzing about in your brain day! Confused? Head on over to Spoons to see what it's all about :)
Let's begin shall we?

1.So a few days ago I was stuck in a fog.
Not a brain fog or sad fog.
An actual fog... see:
This is really weird for Aus guys! I was freaking out... and then it got worse!

The one good thing I could think that would come from this would be my sport class would be cancelled and we would have to play volleyball inside. I mean you can't really play golf with fog like that. (Yes I know- GOLF!?! It's almost as physical as chess. Almost.) Unfortunately/fortunately it cleared up as soon as I got to school and the sun came out.

2. Big news!!! Yesterday I made the best.ice cream.ever. Best texture, flavour, colour- THE BEST!
Sadly the light was terrible- I apologies! I'm wincing as I'm putting the photos up:
Do you wanna know the secret? It was simply 1 frozen banana, a handful of frozen berries and.......
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder! What!?! The protein powder is like magic!
It was the exact texture of proper ice cream and the vanilla protein powder gave it a nice sweet touch and the additional protein boost!
If only I had a cone :D
I enjoyed my fantabulous ice cream with some overnight OIAJ:
Simply 3/4 fill the empty jar (mine was almond butter) with muesli, sprinkle on some chia seeds, mixy-mix, then add milk (I used oat milk) until it reaches the top, mixy-mix and leave overnight.
This brekky was soooo good and soooooooooooooo filling!
3. It was funny- while I was making this, I couldn't keep thinking; 'I have a berry in my ice cream.'
You're probably all thinking; 'Ofcourse you have a berry in there- it's berry ice cream.'
Yes... but:
4. My last little random thought is: Why is it that when there is a problem with your computer and you restart it and you wiggle it around, turn it off and on and even cross your fingers for it to work- then finally give up and go to the computer guys at school, that they can turn it on and it works.

Now I know I'm no computer whiz..I mean this pretty much sums up me and technology:
But seriously. It's just embarrassing. Especially when they turn it on, it works and they say: 'Magic!'
Anyway! Just thinking out loud :)

Thinking-Out-Loud2
Does fog scare you/excite you?
Ice-cream. What's the best flavour?
Are you a technology whiz, or almost as hopeless as me?

Bye for now! :D

WIAW #18

 It's WEDNESDAY!
Why do I seem to like Wednesdays so much? Not sure... but I sure do love em'!
Since your all here for a snoop on the food front (aren't we all?) let's jump straight to it!
Linking up with Peas and Crayons! WIAW style:)
I usually awaken to the bright and sunny.... pitch black sky of 5:00am-5:30am, (my natural alarm clock) get out of bed and have a nice warm glass of water with a lemon (so many benefits!)- you can kinda tell how dark it is:
Back to bed- where I read some blogs and then do a little workout of some kind (either a walk on the treadmill.. still reading blogs, or a purely twins workout, some stretching.. something like that)
Then I'm pretty hungry at this stage (6:30am ish) so I wonder into the kitchen and start prepping lunch and breakfast at the same time.

Breakfast:
I like big breakfasts and I cannot lie! That was 1/2 cup steel cut oats cooked on stove with 1 chopped banana, a sprinkle of chia seeds and some cinnamon and lots of milk (I don't measure ay more- just lots) topped with buckwheat flakes and wholegrain cheerios with melted peanut butter rubbed in:)

Lunch:
Hommus mixed with brown rice and lentils, with spinach, capsicum, tomato, carrot and 2 chopped boiled eggs.
Our school's really strange...the bell for lunch goes at 1:40pm, then we have to walk back to our lockers, get our food, find our friends- by the time we're sitting down to eat it's almost 2:00pm. That is just wrong!

Come home (not too hungry I might add- thanks late lunch) and always crave.....

Fruit and soy milk! Yum! It gives me such a boost of energy, it's like coffee for me :) In yesterdays case, I had to eat that lovely looking plate almost as soon as I got home to make it to my $:00pm flute lesson)

When I got home from flute I we
nt for a walk on the treadmill and read this book- soooo good!
Then after around 45mins, started to prep dinner which was..
A lovely big bowl of mush! My favourite!
It was mashed pumpkin, parsnip, potato, sweet potato and swede with greek yoghurt mixed in:
And some steamed broccoli, brussels sprouts and sauteed mushrooms :)

Not the prettiest eats of the week, but that's not the point of What I Ate Wednesday, is it?

What did you eat this fine day?
Do you like breakfast?
Do you like big breakfasts?

See ya tomorrow for some thinking out loud and the best ___ ever!

2 Tasty Delights!

I have two recipes for you today, which I joined into one for a nom-y dinner!

But first... Breakfast- because breakfast always comes first!
I had for the first time in like forever...
CRUMPETS! (wholemeal crumpets- but still!)
I love crumpets :) maybe it should go on my list of loves?
I especially love them covered in peanut butter :)
And served with a green smoothie:
 Frozen banana+ frozen mango+ chia seeds+ oat milk+ spinach+ greek yoghurt

Yum!
Now dinner!
I really wanted to make a quinoa salad, so....
Here's what you do:
Roast up some beetroot and parsnip (olive oil and in the oven for 40 mins at 180 degrees)

Cook some quinoa:
Find some beans, corn and cranberries:
At the last 15 mins roast some cherry tomatoes and stir together to form a salad!
Don't forget the spinach!
What are those yellow-looking things?
CURRIED CAULIFLOWER! Yum. I simply wanted to make them as a side, but then I used a bowl and was like; 'What the heck!'
So I stirred together half a teaspoon of garlic, a small squeeze of lemon and about 1 and a half heaped teaspoons of curry powder with about 1 tablespoon water:
Rubbed onto some cauliflower and roasted in the oven (180 degrees celsius) for around 30 mins, with some chopped onion and chili:
Mixed into the salad!
Sweet, savoury, warm, crunchy- everything balanced everything out quite nicely :)

What's your favourite salad?
I get so annoyed when people are like- 'You don't actually like salads, do you?'
I mean look at this 'salad' what's not to like?

TA-TA for now!
:D

10 Day You Challenge!

Happy Monday everyone! (Well, as happy as Monday's gonna get;)
I thought I'd start off this week a little differently with a challenge I first saw on Peanut Butter Fingers and then on other blogs around the blog-o-sphere. It's called the 10 day you challenge and reveals a lot about a person- so you can get to know me a little better :D
Even if you don't have a blog, take a little time out to write out your own answers and gvet to know yourself a little better! I sure did!
10 Day You Challenge Ok, so today's post is obviously- 10 secrets! OOOooo. Now Julie from PB Fingers skipped this one because she could only come up with three... this may be the case with me- we'll see!

1.
I can't even think of one :(
Ok so this post is actually about my NINE LOVES! (sooooo much easier)

At the top of the list:
1. Nut butter family of course!

2. Nut butter Friends are the next love of mine :)
 3. Nut butter? Yeh, ok- nut butter you made the top three!

I know tons of people who hate nut butters (if you're allergic you don't count- you know who you   are;) and I believe they had one bad experience and didn't ever try it again... because seriously... no one can truly hate nut butters!(I'm right.. right?)

4. Bananas and nut butters were battling it out on 3 and 4, however bananas are definitely a love of mine! All the different things they can do!

5. The arts (including dance, music and actual art) I love my creative side and relish in every opportunity I get to reveal it!

6. I also have a very logical side and love maths- it makes sense and theirs only one answer!
7. I looooovvve the early part of the morning- where I'm the only one up, it's dark, silent and calm- it's awesome and also my favourite time to run (though I'm still resting up at the moment)

8. Pizza! Pizza had to feature on this list- I've loved it my whole life and still managed to love it to pieces being wheat, dairy and sugar free :)
Remember these guys?
9. Lastly I want to share my love of life- I love how blessed I am which pushes me to be a better person and help those in need- so I also love humanities ability to love and show compassion towards others (yes I slipped 2 into 1, teehee)

So there you go- my nine loves (excluding my 1547230281514.75 others!)
How about you?
What do you love?
What would make your top nine?

Think about it- tell someone- eat some nut butter.... and have a great day! :D
